Meet Karen Bentley
Hi. My name is Karen Bentley, but my friends and my family affectionately call me "Big Heart," a title that reflects
my dedication to living love, to demonstrating love, to teaching love, to writing about love, and to speaking about
love. Many people already have an understanding of romantic love and familial love, but very few understand what it
means to love from a spiritual perspective -- without attachment to any one specific person or without demanding that
certain agreeable conditions are present before love is extended.
This awareness of non-romantic love is still quite rare and unusual here on planet Earth, but I have it. This is what
makes my books, seminars and boot camps so compelling, powerful and different. They really stand out from the pack.
After all, once the mind is opened with a new and uplifted idea about love, anything becomes possible -- anything at
all. Maybe you will experience happiness beyond your wildest expectations. Maybe you will experience a miracle in your
life. Or maybe you will finally come to love and accept yourself, as you are, right now, without any judgement about
badness or wrongness.
Author
Altogether I've written 17 books including The Sugar-Free Miracle™ Diet Handbook, the entire
Sugar-Free Miracle™ Cookbook Collection series, The Book of Love and 10 Radiant
Ideas, as well as numerous booklets, manuals, nationally-published articles and Letters to Editors.
Most recently, I wrote a children's book, Faeries in my New Hampshire Garden, for my two beautiful
granddaughters, Sophie and Molly, and for everyone else who is enchanted by the idea of unseen, but loving
helpers in our midst.
Speaker/Seminar Leader
For the last ten years I have been passionately teaching adults about how to use the power of love to solve problems,
particularly problems having to do with stopping unwanted and/or out-of-control behaviors. Any behavior can be
stopped: anger, anxiety, over-eating, smoking, drinking, drugging -- you name it. The good news is that once you
learn how to tap into and rely on your own inner and sacred strength, stopping self is not as hard as you've been led
to believe. And even more, the skill of stopping self can be generalized and transferred to other problematic areas
in your life.
Hundreds of people have successfully learned how to stop unwanted behaviors. The secret is the release from fear and
the total reliance and trust in Love. Love is not just a wild emotion. It is a power that is available to all of us,
whenever we need it. I teach how to recognize and use this power. There are no coincidences in life. You have been
searching for a solution, and here it is. There's an old Buddhist quote that says "when the student is ready, the
teacher appears." Are you ready?
Physical Educator Extraordinaire!
You will come to remember your goodness and loveliness through your own body. The body is the means for your
transformation. Or said another way, it is the primary tool that you will use for learning. The tool, however, is
not what's most important about you. What's important is your own awareness of Self as Love. When you finally make
the choice to stop attacking self and to start treating your body in a harmless way, you begin to directly experience
self as Love. This is how and where the work is done!
My job is to show you how to work with your body instead of against it. I translate abstract spiritual concepts
into practical, doable bodily actions or non-actions. In one way or another, I have personally been working with
and vigorously applying physical education principles for much of my adult life. In 1988 I graduated summa cum laude
from Northeastern University in Boston, MA with a Bachelor of Science degree in education/exercise physiology. I was
also class valedictorian and winner of the Boston Bouve' Award for Academic excellence.
World's Biggest Heart Maniac
Because love is symbolized by the heart, I aspire to be the Guinness World Record holder for the largest collection
of unique heart objects. There are currently just under 1,000 heart objects in my collection. Each one represents the
remembrance of love. After reading one of my books or attending one of my programs, many people feel inspired to add
a heart to my collection. Perhaps you will be, too.
